Copy/Paste/Move Objects in Sketch

I have many sketches that contain projected geometry, which forms useable profiles that one can extrude, loft, etc.

But I need to modify these shapes, for example to gradually shape a loft using profiles along a 3d curve.

I understand why one can't modify projected geometry, but how can I get an editable copy of it that I can move and scale?

It's not even easy to just redraw the profile because the new parts get intermixed with projected parts too easily.

The obvious method would be to copy the profile and paste, but it seems to be impossible even to select and copy it.

How do people live with this? I must be missing something obvious.

Sketch articles can be Copied (Cntrl C), (any Sketch)

then Pasted (Cntrl V), into current sketch.

Break Link will cut ties to Projected Geometry,

Sounds like your looking for combinations of both.

Hi @DaveGadgeteer, you can do this by selecting the sketch geometry, right clicking, and choose "Break Link".  This will break the relationship between the projected entity and the sketch item, and you can then move/edit/trim/etc the result.

Control C/Control V is not at all obvious.  Particularly misleading with menu item: Move/Copy, under which there is no Copy.

I suggest "Copy" get its own menu listing on the dropdown/popups.
