Hello everyone and Happy New Year!

Right I'm in a sketch I have drawn two concurrent circles of differing sizes (middle one will be the hole) and I want to copy them to a new location via the Point to Point option in "Move" (WTF by the way ) - computer says no!!

Same component same sketch how.

(Copy shouldn't be this hard)

Thanks

Matt

It's a good point that there is no Copy option in Move for sketch objects.  I think that's a oversight, and I'll see if we can implement that.  In the meantime, use CTRL-C/CTRL-V (CMD-C/CMD-V on Mac).  You can copy/paste sketch geometry that way.

Luv you Jeff!!!!

I have just tried your suggestion and it works really well thank you - (if you didn't guess already Ha! Ha!!)

Seriously for a second, yes I do agree, the title of the box does say Move/Copy with no copy which is VERY confusing - It would be nice to have a Copy command to invoke the combined CNTRL-V & CNTRL-C combination to choose the object and then show the movement arrows.

Speaking of copying "overhaul" for the UI: I find it highly confusing that copying components creates "linked" copies.

I like the feature itself, but I think the dialog should not just have a check-box labelled "copy".  Most (new and unspoiled) users will expect something different. I only discovered more than a year later (!) - thanks to you, Jeff - that there is a CTRL C / CTRL V available as well, which does static copies.

To my mind, the dialog (when move/copying components) should have three distinct options: Move/copy/clone-copy (or linked-copy?)
