Copy and Paste Text in a Drawing?

Does anyone know if you can copy and paste text when making a drawing? I'm working on a drawing and I have a bunch of holes to label. It would make my life a lot easier if I could copy and paste the text so I don't have to make a new text box for each hole as a lot of them are the same.

Hi @gen_bobondeez, thanks for posting your question here. Unfortunately, we don't support copy / paste of objects in the Drawings workspace yet. You can, however, copy and paste text from within a text box to another. We have copy / paste of objects (text boxes, leader notes, etc.) on the roadmap for later this year. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes in the meantime.

Best,

Timera

Copying and pasting commonly used tables would be amazing!

Almost two years later... Well seeing that this feature is not here yet. It is the small things like this that will keep fusion as a great tool, It would not be hard to understand the foundation dimension and labeling of traditional drawings and make a good annotation interface to Fusion.

Hi Timera,

Any progress on this function?

We're just getting into Fusion from SW and noticing a few workflow shortcomings in an otherwise great product, hope they will be available soon!

thanks!

2 years later and you still can not copy and paste.  Fusion 360 is so advanced, yet so behind.  I cringe when someone asks me for an actual drawing.  Drawings in F360 is so painful I typically will export and dimension in Inventor or AutoCad.  I tell my boss all the time how wonderful this, yet feel like a total failure when I have to dimension a drawing for him.  Sad.

More development work on the drawing side of things Autodesk! Please! It's so painful to make even a simple drawing to send to manufacturers. The lack of the ability to copy and paste notes that are used throughout my designs is frustrating! SolidWorks is light years ahead of Fusion 360 in this aspect making it a tough sell for anyone to change over.

Hi there.

I just read this reply that was written in 2017, and as we all know its 2019 already! So i figure that its possible to copy and paste text in a drawing by now? I cant figure out how! Could you please tell me how to get that done?

Is there a way to at least make the text size bigger then 0.24in, and so that it stays bigger for the drawing i'm working on? I have to edit it for every text i type and it SUCKS a big bunch!

Can we get copy & paste in F360 drawing module already, please?

This is a total nuisance when copying additional text and information from one drawing to a new updated drawing...

please fix the basics before adding new stuff.

February of 2020 and still no copy/paste. Come on Autodesk! Fusion seems to update at least once a week. It's time that update had something useful! If it was in your 2017 roadmap then it should have happened by now! Disappointing...

Well they got a whole PCB Design Suite integrated now before a basic Copy & Paste feature, so that's nice.

It's 2023, and we can't copy and paste? Is this feature difficult to add or no one cares?

I would really like more copy and paste features. I often am making new revisions of products and need to copy things. Always try ctrl-c and ctrl-v. They work sometimes when there is no right click menu.

Just to confirm, at least on the Mac version, CMD-C and CMD-V does work to copy and paste text. It's a little tricky to get to work because after pasting, you're immediately in move mode and you'll need to remember to click OK before attempting anything else.

I am using Windows as my operating system and I can Copy and Paste into many Fusion Drawing functions like Leader Text, Text Boxes and Custom Tables.   Please give an example of your needs.
