Copies of components with separate configurations...

Hi all!

I am looking to making a bit register for my CNC drawer. The bits come in 18mm or 13mm boxes. I have 77 of them. I would like to make an even pattern across the entire panel but not every hole will be cut the same. Is it possible for me to make a configuration for each option that gets copied in a rectangular/symmetrical pattern that allows me to choose either 15mm or 18mm for each instance? I've created the configuration but so far whenever I change the configuration option, it changes all instances instead of the one I have selected.

By definition, pattern creates instances/copies of the original geometry. If you change one of them, all of them end up changing because there is only one underlying definition.

A workaround you could try, which is a bit more laborious as you cannot use patterns, is to insert the configurations individually into another document.  Then you can control what each inserted instance points to.
