Convert to solid

Hi all,

Noobie question. 

When I try to make a draw from a design a part of it won't be "transferred" because it's not a body. 

This are the three layers I have problems with. 

The design in draw space looks like this.

And I get this massege: "mesh, t spline and surface bodies will not be included...etc"

I trying to convert them to solids without luck

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

You'll have to go not the patch workspace and stoic these surfaces into one body. It might still be an open surface body.

It is hard to see what these surfaces are in your screenshot. You might be able to simply thicken these surfaces and create solid bodies that way.

Yes, to create a solid from surfaces the surfaces need to be joined within the tolerances that you specify to make a closed body- tolerances can be adjusted in the dialog. There are often problems with imported surface type parts, especially with complex ones, that need to be fixed before converting to a solid. If you can post the file, or show the dialog you get when attempting to convert we could possibly be of more help.

Yep, I can see the open body icon on my browser. 

I'm uploding the file anyway. I can't seem to find where its open. 

There is a analyze tool that will show me where the problem can be?
