Convert STL mesh to solid model

I imported an STL model into Fusion3D (you can see it here: http://a360.co/196ES4l).  Can I convert this so the faces are not made up of all the STL triangles?  I'd like to model to be the same way as if I created it in F360 originally with the Model workspace.

Thanks for the TinkerCAD info, made my life simple, I was experiencing tear-your-hair-out moment on day1 with fusion360 having just been given access to a 3d printer.

Gotta love file format nightmares that are common as muck and should have been incorporated better or ironed out years ago.

I tried the merge command with some files I imported directly from SketchUp and the command fails.

At this juncture, once the meshes are converted to b-reps, I have to unstitch and then restitch the body to eliminate the tessellated flat faces.

I'll have a look at Tinkercad to see if the conversion process a little less tedious.

Hi All,

I also have a problem making an stl file to solid, but really solid (fully filled in with material).

I was downloaded a model in stl format (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/elsa-from-2013-frozen-23754). I would like to do a mold to be able to prepare chocolate/soap Elsa...

I was inserted a disk to the bottom and I was able to close the hole on the dress but it has still empty body. When I make boolean difference, material will remain in the form.

Could you help me how to solve my problem? I'm sure there is a command in the sw to fill it up, but I couldn't find it.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

Best Regards,

Klara
