Convert mesh into surface

I downloaded this model and I can't seem to convert it into I tried to using Remake to convert it to quad first but I still couldn't get it to convert to t-spline. I am a super noob at this and would love some help I checked out some forms but either I didn't do it right or this issue is different from the other similar forums on the subject.

  1. Turn mesh files into Brep
    1. Right-click browser tree first item in tree from going from top-down right underneath browser line
    2. Select "Do not capture design history"
    3. Click continue
    4. Left click mesh image to select all of image
    5. Modify>Mesh>Mesh to Brep
  2. If warning about too many facets (>10,000) do:
    1. Reduce facets for each mesh to less than 10,000
      1. In Fusion 360….in YOUR NAME drop-down list at right upper corner…Preferences>Preview>click checkbox  for Mesh Workspace
      2. If  right click on first browser item shows "Do Not Capture design history", change it to  Select "Capture design history"…..this returns UI to Model mode
      3. Right click on mesh and select Edit (this should change UI to Mesh Mode)
      4. Left click individual areas on mesh or double click to select all of mesh
      5. Modify>Reduce….select face count, select keep boundaries……click ok
      6. Click on Finish Mesh
  3. Go back to Turn mesh files into Brep above

Only quad meshes can be turned into T-Splines.

Turning this dirty into a Brep (solid body) is not a good idea.

You can try to use software like instant meshes to make a quad mesh out o this triangulate .stl file. The result can then be imported into Fusion 360 as a .obj file and then be converted into a T-Spline.

Thank you, is there any reason that I can't combine it with other bodies? I need combine and cut what should I do?

You can only use the combine tool on solid bodies. You cannot combine a mesh body and a solid body.

So you need to convert the mesh body into a solid body.

That's where re-meshing it into a quad mesh and converting it into a T-Spline and then into a solid body comes into play.
