HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the Fusion 360 forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I am not  sure how to best convert the edrawing file from Solidworks to a dwg or other format that AutoCAD/LT can utilize.  Do you have a file to share that I can examine?

Hi @Anonymous,

The attachment is not in your last post. Please put it in a ZIP file and attach it again but do not do this through email as it will not work.

Hi @Anonymous,

Since the EDRW file is basically for viewing, there is not much that can be done with it.  Here is a site that details what you can do with such a file.  With the viewer from Solidworks you can export to a variety of graphic formats but they are all raster based. If you can work with this you should be set to go. If you need a fully 2D or 3D vector drawing you will need to ask the Solidworks user to export the model to a DWG.

If you have a raster to vector conversion program or know how to do this in something like InkScape or Adobe Illustrator then you should be able to get a 2D drawing file.

Hi John,

I saw in another thread your reply saying that with Fusion 360, .edrw files can be converted to dwg:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-lt-forum/convert-edrw-to-dwg/m-p/6437132/highlight/true#M1411...

I haven't used Fusion 360 before at all.

Anyway thanks for the help.

Regards,

Paola

Hi,

I have zero experience with the software for now.

I asked because I saw it in an another Forum thread as a possible solution.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-lt-forum/convert-edrw-to-dwg/m-p/6437132/highlight/true#M1411...

Now it is ok, I don't need to do the file conversion anymore.

Best,

Paola

I thought I need tools to do that. Anyways, I searched and found few websites which offer such kind of services. I would like to share one of it https://pdf2word.io/ Are those websites helpful?

Please let me know. I am bit confused about what to try. Thanks!
