Convert a component to an editable mesh

I'm working in a component and was wondering if I can convert it to an editable mesh. Need to make some small adjustments and would be difficult to make it without this option.

What component, and what edit do you need to make ? More detail is needed to provide a sensible answer.

The term editable mesh is used strictly in the polygon modeling world and applies to polygons. So based on that description no you can't do this. Now on the other hand if you have a T-Spline from the sculpt environment you can manipulate the control cage of the T-Spline in the same way as you can manipulate a mesh. You never said what kind of geometry you are working with so we can't really give you a correct answer.
