Control point spline tangency

Hi,

I would like to make the control point spline tangent to the line of the rectangle.
Usually in Inventor this was no problem.

Thanks for any help!

Use 3 point fit point spline, from midpoint on top and bottom, and a spline point coincident to the vertical line, and constrain the tangent handle vertical.

Might help.....

Thanks, this comes close, but the result is not satisfying.

You can at best fiddle around with a couple workarounds to approximate the 25mm width, but true spline tangency to a rectangle of defined width is not possible with a control point spline in Fusion 360.

A fit point spline is mathematically more complex (it is a 5-degree multi-span spline even if it only has a start and end point), hence given the limitation that tangency can only be achieved at tangent handles. it can only approximate the shape of the control point spline.
