Contacts for different studies in the same simulation model

Hi,

I am trying to set up multiple simulation studies inside a simulation model, a static stress and a nonlinear static stress.

I get the following error:

Do not the contacts differ in separate studies despite of the option for setting?

EDIT: I can not also add more load case for the same nonlinear study.

Hi @lajos_szabo_1989,

Thank you for providing the screenshot for the first issue. If you cloned the first study to create the second, before changing the study type to nonlinear (or vice-versa) it should retain / clone the manual bonded contact referenced in the warning message from the parent study. If that isn't the case, we'll be happy to investigate it further.

If the bonded type of Manual Contact isn't desired, you can edit, suppress or delete the contact via the Contacts Manager. Otherwise, we don't allow multiple contacts to be created referencing the same face pair, to avoid possible conflicting directives. Note that although an existing contact for that face pair is suppressed, we still won't allow a duplicate contact to be created.

The second issue is by design, where only certain study types in Fusion can consider multiple load cases (Linear Static Stress, Shape Optimization, and Generative Design). As you've found, nonlinear static stress isn't supported unfortunately. This is similar to Adaptive Mesh Refinement being offered in certain study types (AMR is mutually exclusive with multiple load cases by the way). In those situations a separate study needs to be created / cloned to simulate each load case scenario.
