Construct upholstery

I am new to Fusion 360, just used it a few month. My business is furniture design. I am wondering how or if there is a smart way to construct upholstery.

I draw up the frame that is to be upholstered, then i want to add a layer of upholstering to the surface of that frame. Maybe i want to add 20 mm to all sides of a given shape, what would be the best way of doing this?

Hello,

Thanks for looking after the situation.

Please find attached some images. The drawing are made with solidworks. There a quicker way on "fusion 360" for do this but better.

We have frame that we have to build but then cover with different layers of foam.

I just start to use Fusion and there no any video on upholstery showing how to do it, so that why I'm asking here.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

I also work in upholstery and have been working my way through how to upholster furniture in fusion 360. It hasn’t been super easy but I found using Surface and Sheet Metal modeling to act as the fabric works really well if you want to make it parametric. And forms is works well for super organic shapes but you can really make that as parametric. Hope that helps!
