I have created the following shape
I have manged to connect the top circle to the bottom one. I want to attach the middle plate to the vertical pipes via straight lines.
I've crated a plane from the middle plate, but I can't seem to sketch lines that are on that plane and form the shortest line between the vertical pipe and the plate.
How can I do this?

If you cannot figure out my workflow from the Timeline, let me know directly and I will explain. By the way, there is a lot of color (errors in your Timeline) that you should solve as they come up. Some of your other intersections are a little rough and need work. Model is attached.

I create a construction plane, using the Midplane Construction panel command, at the middle of the center disk. On that plane I create my sketch and draw my pipe path lines. This way I know that they are entering the middle disk at the center of it.
