Configuration parameters in text

I'm using configurations for a part with a dozen variants.  Since the parts are 3D printed, I would like to insert the Configuration-Part-Name (i.e. "PartA1B2C3") into an extruded text block which is printed on the part.  Is there a way to access the Config-Part-Name as a parameters?  And if so, can I insert it into a text block?  Thank you.

Any way without the add-in?  My school corporation locks down our computers like they're protecting Fort Knox and we cannot install software without going through a big hassle.

I’m in the same boat with my enterprise license—keeping an eye out for any updates. The time savings from using parametric text would be huge. Ironically, the process of submitting all the paperwork to get the add-on might take longer than manually iterating each individual engraving. It’s a bit of a hassle, and I really wish tools like this were just built into the standard suite.
