Comrpessing a rubber part to fit the assembly

I need to assembly a rubber bush into a damper eye. If I define a physical bond, the profiles overlap with each other.

At the moment my only option is to draw a compressed rubber to match the profile of the eye and displace the excess area as a lump on the sides. Saying that, like a liquid rubber is going to exert force on all direction due to compression. Any idea how I can calculate and specify it for simulation ?

I would just trim the rubber in the Interference tool and live with it. The preload might matter for suspension dynamics but likely not. It'll matter not at all for the rod end (steel or aluminum).
