Component drawing

Hi!

Is there any other way to use component origin as a reference for drawing views besides creating named view for each component?

This example:

There's a component and everything is nicely oriented inside it. However component is arbitrarily placed in model.

Named view has no associative link with component and it's necessary to update it after every component movement 😨

Asked about this lots of times and never got any answers how this is going to be dealt with. Named Views are not good as they can't be updated if the component's moved. Only reliable way would be to use Derive to export the component to it's own design then create a drawing of the exported component. As you say, what's needed is the ability to reference all construction planes from components in the 2d drawing.
