Combining two separate drawings/parts into one part

So, I'm new to Fusion. I now realize there is a way to do two separate components in the same sheet. I did not realize this so I drew two separate parts on two separate sheets. I figured out how to get them both on the same sheet but cannot figure out how to put the two parts together to make one part. I need the parts to be centered with each other and flush together. They are oriented correctly in terms of I need the boxed part on top of the two-sided part. I will attach my file and hope somebody can teach me. Thank you in advance.

fortunately, you have made two components here.  That's good.  The way to relate two components is to use Joints.  In this case, we want a rigid joint between these components.  It was not clear what orientation you want relative to these two components, so I just made a basic one.  If you want a different orientation, a more complex Joint might be needed, or you may need to create explicit Joint Origins.

Jeff, thank you for the help and the screencast. I need to explain my orientation a little better. I need the flat side with the slots of the taller piece to be on the flat side (the side opposite of the extruding flanges) of the shorter piece. When I attached my file, I tried my best to orient them how I needed them to be combined. Sorry for the lack of description, thats my fault. Can you help me combine these two in this way?

Here is my screencast of what I am attempting to do. The holes in both pieces should be centered, which will center the pieces together.

sorry, screencast is still missing.  Even just a screenshot of the desired orientation (using Move Component) would be helpful.  I'll take another guess at what I think the result you are after.

Is this what you need?  In this example, I created a sketch in one component to use as a snap point for the Joint:

Jeff, that is exactly what I was looking for. I apologize for my troubles loading a screencast. I'm a rookie. I appreciate the help, it keeps rookies like me away from frustration and moving in the right direction! Thanks again.
