combine sketches

I have been slowly working on a drawing that i wish to extrude, i think i may have created it as a few (four) sketches due to working on at at different days. Perhaps this is the cause of the problem i will describe..........

The trouble is that now i want to extrude the part, i can only seem to select the cutouts and not the part itself. 

Is there a simple solution.

I am new to 360 and have a very small amount of Inventor experience.

Copy and Paste from one sketch to another

or

Project all of the geometry into one sketch.
