Combine function not cutting when using a Mcmaster part

HI, im trying to model 1/4 npt threads in a part and when I insert a part from mcmaster and try and us the combine function to cut the threads so that i can 3d print the threads. I get a error every time that says make sure there is overlap. i used a joint to position the parts where I want to make the cut. I attached the file I am still learning any help would be greatly appreciated. Matt

Your McMaster-Carr component was flawed.  I replaced it and all works fine.  Model attached.

You could Unstitch and then Restitch the original geometry to repair the body.
