Combine cut question

When I do a Combine > Cut feature, I keep the tool body.

But when I move the tool body the cut feature does not move with it.

Is there a way to link the tool body with the cut feature so when the tool moves the cut feature moves with it?

Thank you.

whether you use bodies or components, you need to remember that Fusion is Timeline-based.  If you move the tool after the Combine (whether it is a component or a body), that move will occur in time after the Combine.  If you want the cut to move with the tool, make sure it happens before.

Can this be done through an API script?
That is how the two bodies are created.

Well, in the sense that you could write an API script that would perform the necessary operations to put the move before the cut, then yes.  But, I think that would be a complex script to write.  This is just a fundamental aspect to the way that Fusion works - the features are executed in timeline order, so the effect on the design is dictated by that order.
