Hi,

Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.

I am very new to fusion 360, This being the first time I have posted, I am learning by viewing tutorials whilst using a trial version to ensure 360 is capable of modelling the components I require before purchasing a full license.

I have modelled an impeller for a project that I am fabricating, I have generated a 3d housing dummy to create the final outside diameter blade profile, I have combined both models, yet I cannot cut or delete the housing dummy and tips of the blades to leave only the radiused diameter profile.

Error: DeleteFace2
Compute Failed

This is the error message that pops up every time I try.

I have attached a screenshot of the model with the full error message, hopefully, someone can shed some light on what I might be doing wrong.

Thank you.

Hi,

For useful hints you would have to share the design and name the features involved in the process.

There are unresolved issues highlighted in your Timeline.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Hi Gunther,

Thanks for the response! I'm not quite sure how to share the design and name the features involved in the process.

Still learning my way around the functions of 360.

Also when sharing on this forum does that open the design up to public view and access? as this is part of a design concept covered under I.P relating to a larger project? it can be viewed by others, but not copied or used.

Make up a dummy file that exhibits the same characteristics as your proprietary data.

In your design, the features are assigned names. You cannot analyse a situation without knowing which parts are involved.

Yes

Hi Cadwhisperer,

Thanks for the reply, I will attempt to attach the file, as you have asked, in doing so will it give access to anybody in the public domain? as stated in another reply this is a prototype concept listed under I.P of a larger project, Would like to try and minimalise exposure if possible.

Thank you.
