Colour in 2D Sketch

Hi,

Is it possible to add colour to 2D sketch? For simplicity, lets say you create two rectangles next to each other and I want the one to be blue and the other one to be red, both with black lines. Can this be done?

I need to create a basic design layout in 2D for a conveyor system with stations where teach station is a different colour, also the text added to each station's colour must correspond to their respective station's colour.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @juanpierre.dupreez,

Today, no, there is no way for the user to control the color of sketch curves.  Part of the reason for this is that the colors in a Fusion sketch are used to communicate information about the sketch:  Construction curves use one color/dash pattern, normal curves use another.  Projected curves use yet another color, and failed projections are another.

It would be possible in the future to implement this suggestion, but it is not in our current plans. Here are a couple of IdeaStation ideas in this area:

multi-color-sketch-normal-construction-lines

Feel free to vote up these ideas.

Is there a list of what the colors mean, somewhere? eg: Blue, Black, Red, Purple, Green ?

There is a mostly complete list from an AU class that we did this past year:  http://au.autodesk.com/au-online/classes-on-demand/class-catalog/classes/year-2017/fusion-360/mfg121...

Here is the graphic we put together:

Hope this helps...
