I generated two rods twisting together like a spring using API through sweep feature. And I want to map the color contour of energy of the system which I already have. I found the color contour in simulation section but it is based on the results obtained from the simulation. But what I need is to plot the color contour based on the energy data I already have. I don't know what I should do.

I think you could do this by creating the color pattern that you want in Photoshop and applying it as a decal:

If that doesn't work well, you could also try using whatever image you've made in Photoshop in an appearance:
