Closed and hit "Do Not Save" - No Autosaved Files in Temp Cache

So last night after a very long day I was shutting the computer down around midnight. I had taken a part from a rough design to ready to be machined (about 4-5 hours) and somehow did not save. Not the end of the world, but I feel like this file should be floating around in my temporary files.

I took a look around my fusion360 appdata files last night and did not find anything being autosaved, the only thing I found are very old recovery files. Is my autosave not functionary correctly or am I missing where these files are located?  I've poked around all the folders in the User->AppData->Fusion360 including Local, Roaming and Locallow to no avail. I have Show hidden folders and Do Not Hide protected system files enabled.

I've lost a lot more work than this before so I'm not all that worried (it would be nice to recover this file however)(also this is 110% my fault)), but I'd like to be able to make sure the autosave is functioning and that I understand it to prevent future lost work.

you can always turn on "automatic version on close" in the preferences.  This will prevent you from ever losing work.  But, of course, that disables the "close without saving" workflow, which I use all the time, which is why I have it disabled

Just an ask, but have you looked at your history In the data Panel, Or even in file-> ( 4th down) Recovery Documents.

The only thing in that Recovery menu from the file menu are old files, newest one being from Jan 10.
I found the same files in the AppData folders, and nothing more. Am I wrong to assume the autosave should have been saving the new version somewhere?

I think turning that on would get me in more trouble since I often edit/test and close to revert to the original version with no save.  It appears this is gone, since I opened the file in fusion and closed it again and then it must have deleted the recovery file(correct?). So it seems I could have recovered it but my lack of knowledge of how the cloud and recovery system work wiped out the backup.
