Circular pattern multiple features?

It seems that when using the circular pattern (and I assume the rectangular, too), if you are patterning faces or bodies you can select multiple ones but when I attempt to pattern features it's only possible to select a single feature. Is that known/intentional?

Try selecting the Features from your timeline at the bottom.

That's what I tried, but it doesn't work. See attached screencast.

However, I just made a new design with a a couple features to test this, and then it works. There must be something special about the features I'm trying to select...

When you edit the Pattern, try holding down CTRL (Cmd on Mac).  In general, you need to hold down this modifier to add to selection sets when editing a feature.

Doh! I didn't realize that applied also to selecting things in the timeline.

I'm seeing something very like the above problem.  I have a threaded hole in a boss.  When I try to make a circular pattern of 4 threaded holes, none of them are visible.  Even the original hole disappears.

Edit Feature shows the hole and its thread properly selected in the timeline.  I've done this lots of times and it has worked in the past, but now it seems to be broken.

The screencast is here (I cannot embed the screencast - just get a message about invalid html.  This has been a forum problem for as long as I can remember).

Ah, the "embed" html from my screencasts just points to the parent page.  try this:

the patterned extrude files in the threads. you only need to do the extrude once, and only pattern the threads (and set pattern to optimized)

Thank you.  I hadn't appreciated the subtleties of Optimised, Identical and Adjust.  Maybe it would be better if "Optimised" were the default, if that's the one that works (not sure why Adjust shouldn't....?).

I wonder if I ought to go back through my models changing Adjust to Optimised in all the patterns!
