Circular Extrusion Cut Help

Hi i'm stuck on my project im trying to complete but stuck on been able to cut out a piece from my extrusion at these dimensions 21mm from the corner too cut a hole from 24mm and a height from top too bottom off 11.0mm. I hope this makes sense so what i did was is too put i line on a picture in photoshop just to show what i meant but not exact to the above dimensions. Pics below hope someone can help so i can get this project finished thanks.

There is no "circular extrusion".  There is, however, Revolve.  That's how I would approach this, assuming that I understand your goal.  Apologize for having to go back and edit the sketch - I did not practice before recording.

Hi Jeff that is what I'm after 20.48 mm from the corners edge and 24.18 mm the hole size. I wish I could follow the video better but missed some steps and didn't get the desired result. So if you could slow the vid down slightly would be ideal. So I can follow along with this. I have to reiteriate I have only been learning fusion over the past 3 weeks now, but I am starting to get there but if you could slow it down on the video so I can tag along would be ideal and also can you still add the dimensions whats needed thanks.

A follow-on question.   I think I understand "20.48 mm from the corners edge".  But, I don't understand what "24.18 mm the hole size" means.  This is a circular cutout - what dimension does 24.18 specify?  For Revolve, we need an angle.

Hi Jeff I mean has from when you start from 20.48mm then its 24.18mm in length the cut out. So from going in from the corners edge 20.48mm from that line measuring 24.18nm the dimension of the cut out and then from the top going down 11.00mm I hope that is more detailed which you wanted to know and thanks for all your help Jeff. I don't think I would be able to complete this without your help thankyou.

@jonhutty - I am still not sure I understand the second dimension (24.18)  what is that distance to be measured from?  I tried measuring that from the first line, but that extends beyond the edge of the body, so I don't think that is right.  I tried measuring from the same edge of the model, but that result is too small, I suspect.

Below is another method to try - sketching on the top face, and drawing some lines, and extruding downward by 11.

Yes Jeff its suppose to go round the edge my friend to follow the face on so from the edge is 20.48mm then from that line its 24.18 which follows the face edge round the corner and 11.0mm down from the top edge which should leave a few mm to the bottom. I hope this is more helpful and you can understand why I have been stuck on this but thanks for your patience and added help. I will follow your video on how to do this on my file so thanks

Hi Jeff i sorted that out my friend with the way you suggested and 2 line points where they needed to be the downward extruded worked perfectly. So thanks for all your help. I may need you for another task on this project I've created 13 smaller holes on the inside of a larger circle extrusion. But need one side of the 13 holes to be all joined together and all opened up halfway down the circle extrusion will run round a small revolve extrusion. I hope you can figure out what I'm trying to say ill send you a pic on what I'm trying to copy but thanks again for all your help this project is nearly finished just this last part to finish and hopefully once printed its perfect.

There was 2 things i have left to do the above question and to be able to put a washer on the center circle extrusion half way up and about 3mm in depth. But that is one I have not done yet so if you could help me on that also that would be great thanks again for your assist.

Here is 3 photos of what I'm trying to achieve i have the circled extrusion done with the holes. But to get the cut out where the holes are not joined fully anymore at one side thought of the revolve command too cut that section out. But maybe wrong and also how to create the center divide on the circular extrusion for the rubber washer to sit. I hope this tells you what I'm after and also the 3 pics let me know Jeff thanks.

It is so the round magazine will rotate and has a stop that is why I have to do a part cutout on the circle extrusion. Hope this helps and you can put me in the right direction.

You need to attach your model, not just the screen captures.  We do not want to reinvent your work.

Hi dave so the the mag is editable so I can add where to put the washer center ring and the dimensions if needed. I only properly started doing fusion everyday for the last few weeks. But starting to get there and thought I would try making my own magazine for my pcp. So thanks for the help buddy last night I drew 2 circles and used 2 lines to end the circumfrance where I wanted it. Then extruded and cut I don't know if its the best way to do it but it worked but doesn't look has tidy has yours. But im learning so thanks.
