Changed hole depth, now pattern doesn't work??

I have a simple model. A block, a hole, and a pattern of that hole.

The hole was 4.8 mm in diameter and 15 mm deep. I then patterned it in 3 rows of 8, and everything was fine. Then I changed the depth in the design history to 11 mm, and the pattern now fails. The error is "R-Pattern1:One or more pattern instances could not be intersected with the original geometry." If I change the hole depth back to 15 mm, it works again.

Also, when I make the hole shorter, a large circle appears on the top surface, centered on the hole. If I click it, in the lower-right it says "1 Edge | Radius: 22.371 mm" I can't delete this edge. If I make the hole 15 mm deep, it goes away.

What's going on? My material is a block 24.8 mm deep.

Edit the pattern and reselect the hole or hit compute all

I tried reselecting the face; didn't do anything. Where is recompute all?

It may be a bug I have been getting the same thing doing the compute all or edit usually works if not moving the pattern in the timeline works as well.

@jeff_strater is this a possible bug, I have not had time to record it.

Did you pattern the Feature or Face?

What compute option did you choose?

It would only let me select the face, for some reason (I tried to select the feature). I didn't explicitly choose any compute option (AFAIK).

EDIT: I've attached the .f3d.

It's definitely something the fusion staff need to look into the hole diameter I can not get it to fail going from 1 mm to 20mm change the depth to 1 less than it is it fails

Hi @JetForMe, I took a quick look at the file you attached.
Pattern the hole feature instead of the Face to achieve the result you are expecting.

1. Edit the pattern feature from the timeline.

2. Change the Pattern Type to "Features"
3. Select the Hole Feature from the timeline.

4. Change the Hole Depth/Diameter by editing the hole feature from the timeline.

The pattern should update with the new Hole Depth/Diameter.

You can refer to the gif attached below:

Yeah, that is a bug.  I agree that you should be able to change the hole depth, even for a face pattern, and the pattern should update.  The weird thing is that it fails if you make the hole shallower, but only below 13.6 or so.  There must be an explanation.  I will file a bug for that.

In the meantime, use the workaround suggested by @rishabh.bisht.  This is my approach to all of pattern - just keep trying different options, and eventually one works.

One more thing I noticed.  The pattern has only one face selected (the hole actually has two faces):

But, I found that if I select both faces, this works OK:

I would have preferred to pattern the feature, but I simply can't; it will not allow me to select the feature.

OH! I guess it does, if I select it via the history as you show. I can't select the feature in the model (nothing happens when I click on it).
