change plane when joint to design origin

I'm trying to simply joint a part to my design's origin on the YZ plane rather than the XY plane, it doesn't let me select any other plane than XY.

I came across this post https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/joint-to-origin-only-allows-joints-paralle... where Jeff Strater mentions the reorient option, but this does not come up in my dialog box.

he's adding a joint origin first, and then applying a joint.

oh I see I have to create the joint origin first! I've never used that feature, this will save me some grief in the future thank you

Hi,

Sometimes it might be useful to look a little more closely at the explanatory visuals!?
