Change default background color

Can we change the default background color to blue or anything other than gray? A watermark for Fusion360 would be great too. It's really difficult to tell one 3d modeler from the next and this could be a great way to get some in product branding and identiy.

There are some basic settings to change background by changing environments. These are found in the navigation tools and view settings center bottom of screen.

Hello @Anonymous

As the earlier posts indicate, you can change the background color in the bottom toolbar...see pic:

This is on the toolbar in the bottom center of the Fusion screen.

Good luck!

Hi, Autumn. It is very glad when you give me solution for my problem. But when i carried out, it did not work. That color was still dark like the follow picture. I suppose that maybe the reason is the version of fusion 360 i using is trial version. I hope that there is any way to solve my issue. Hope you read and reply me soon. Thanks a lot!

The color of background i hope i can see in my fusion 360 is white like that so i can what i drew.

Hello,

Is it possible to change the background colour to plain white?  And by plain white I mean completely white, not light gray as in the 'photo booth' environment. And the same question regarding drawing background.

Thanks in advance,

Roberto R

Henry Ford said with regards to his Model "T" "You can have any color you want as long as it's black"

Sadly, Fusion 360 with all it's incredible abilities has expanded very little beyond Henry's selection of his Model T colors for backgrounds.

My "other" Cad has spoiled me in that regard, pretty much full control over back ground, line colors, styles and weights.

In time no doubt..............

Am surprised you have not tried Display Settings >"Infinity Pool" which brings you the white back ground you are after, or as white as your monitor allows.

This seems to be the sequence to fix issues that are not internal bugs.

1) Cold reboot PC and try again

2) Check that display adapter has latest drivers and update if not. (Open Graphics diagnostic from the help menu)

3) Clean Uninstall / reinstall of Fusion 360.

good luck!

Hey everyone,

One last comment. I first sent a message in this group because I thought none of the environments had a white background, including 'Infinity pool', which is in fact white. The reason was that although I had set 'infinity pool' I had the 'ground plane' (under 'Effect's) active as well. Depending on the camera angle, the background seems to be gray. That was what confused me, but once I unchecked ground plane, the background is always white. I hope this might help. Cheers, Roberto R

I'm having the same problem, I've changed background to infinity pool and turned off ground effects but still nothing changes. Is there anything else I can try?

Try closing and re-starting Fusion 360, infinity pool and ground plane on seems to have issues when toggled, on this particular PC/Monitor/Video card re-starting seems to fix.

Can Fusion please make it so that we can change the background color to any color? "Other" CAM packages allow us to change basically everything about the program. Colors, line widths, shading, brightness, etc.

Best-

Dan

P.S. We need hotkeys for changing views

Does anyone know if there are any kind of plans to add more 'enviroments' , background colours in Fusion 360, design mode? I miss the Inventor default 'light blue' as background, so much nicer to my eyes than 'photo booth white' which I find hard to stare at for hours in front of the screen. I have turned down my screen light intensity some notches, which helped a little bit. Another solution is trying some sun glasses) 'Grey room' is too dark again in many cases. It might be very complicated programing to put up a 'Custom enviroment' setting with RGB colour palette. But maybe in the future one will get there.

These things don't sell the packages, consequently are ignored from what I have seen in any updates. Part of me understands that of course but not all of me, that's for sure.

This and other visual enhancements/options are wayyyyy past due, but I wouldn't hold your breath even though these same complaints are 8 years old and growing older, no excuse for Autodesk in my worthless opinion.
