How can i add a centerline and center mark like red marked on the attached sectionview drawing? The edges for the centerline and circle don't highlight when selected.

Make sure the selection box does not over lap the hatch and it should work.

Hi @Remy18,

Thanks for reaching out to us with this question. Currently, we don't support styles for annotations (including centermarks and centerlines). We do have this on our roadmap, but will not get to it until next year.

Can you give us some detail on why you're looking to use color in this way on your drawings?

Best,

Timera

Having different colours for dimensions, hatches and parts make it easier to read the drawing. At times it can be hard to tell the difference between dimension leaders and lines that make up the part.

In my screenshot the box is indeed overlapping the hatch but that isn't the problem. None of the lines in the section view is highlighted when i try to select. I tried to redo the section view to make sure it's in the center of the threaded hole, but it doesn't make a difference.

@TimeraAutodesk: I agree with the explanation of Mark about the coloured lines.

Thanks

I tried to replicate your error i've tested off center sections and revolved holes but everything I've tried works. Can you export the file as an f2d drawing and upload please.

Thanks Mark

It seems like a bug maybe. I made a new section view agian with the direction changed and the lines as discussed were selectable. After that i made a new section view again like the original and the lines are selectable now for making a center- line and mark.

Can you save and upload a copy of the problem file, it would help finding any bugs.

Thanks Mark.

Thanks for the additional feedback @Remy18@HughesTooling. I've added this request for color line support to our backlog. We have a couple of project coming up next year that I think this enhancement would fit nicely into.

@Remy18, your issue does sound like a bug - and not one we've run into before. Like Mark said, if you could upload (or email) your f2d and f3d (drawing and model), we can definitely take a look at what's going on and try to find a solution.

Hi Timera

While playing around with this I found a small problem, if you try adding a centre point to a hole that is made from several arcs you only get a small centre mark. I think this might be because the centre points are smaller for arcs but in the example below I'd like some way to have the larger centre point on both holes. I've included an example file.

@TimeraAutodesk I'd just like to add a bit more to my last post on centre marks. It looks like the centre marks at the centre of circles are resizable but arcs centre marks aren't, is there a reason for this.
