Cannot Patch or combine bodies for printing

I have been searching for an answer but have not found a solution.  I have a model that I am attempting to combine the bodies so I can create .stl to 3d print it.  However, my two bodies won't patch and/or combine.  One body has a red open circle icon next to it.

Right click on the top node in the Browser.

Select 'Save As STL'.

Bodies don't need to be joined in order to save them as an stl.  They just need to be in the same component (The top node in the browser is also a component).
