Cannot login to Fusion 360 but creating a new account works!

So I've been trying to see how I can switch my account type from Student to Enthusiast, but I was unable to do that unless I made a new account. Then there in lies the problem with Fusion 360; once I log off to log into my new enthusiast account, it worked only for a time. Then... nothing - I cannot login using either account.

Attempted solutions:

1. On the login screen, I tried to making an account using the same information - but it recognizes that I have an account already.

2. I wait for a night to see if there were server issues that needed to be solved - it still would not login.

3. Reinstalled to software - no go.

4. I wanted to confirm that there were server issues, so I made a new account using a phony email I made, and it worked. It logged me in...

I'm just at the stage of learning this software, and I'd rather not make a new account every time have a desire use the software.

I don't want to stack issues, but Fusion connection for people I know and myself is... very, very slow, and we have super fast internet connections- enough to watch 4k stream videos. I know it is a cloud-based software, but I cannot help but think some files should be available offline. and the software shouldn't require a login every time. We can imagine, if Fusion 360 ever fail to log us in as it is the case now, our productivity is approximately zero. So for a productivity software, it is well... a dud.

FYI. My night school, De Anza College, is depending on my evaluation of this product to determine if we want Fusion 360 as the main companion for our Haas machines. Solidworks/Mastercam is already doing a reliable job and it has no login and connectivity lag issues. I am looking for a reliable product. On the side note, the lack of ability to completely delete projects isn't very attractive either.

Thank you for reading.

Any solutions will be appreciated.

Hi Jimmy,

I am really sorry you are running into problems signing into Fusion. Certainly this is not expected. You should be able to sign out and sign back in using either of your accounts. May I request you to send the email addresses associated with both the accounts so I can take a look? Please send them directly to my email address at Saurabh.Akolkar@autodesk.com.

Also, if you can attach Fusion's log files, there may be some clues in them that may help us understand what exactly is going on.

If you are running on Windows, you can find the log files at: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<Autodesk ID>\logs. Please zip up the folder and send it to us.

If you are running on Mac OS, the log files can be found at /Users/<Mac user name>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/<Autodesk ID>/logs.

Since you have created a couple accounts, there is likely to be one folder for each of those accounts, kindly send both the folders.

Regards,

Hello,

I am really sorry that you are running into this issue. I do see that your account has the right entitlements to allow you to use Fusion. So something else is at play here. Do you see any error messages? Or does it simply return back to the login screen after you attempt to login?

Also, may I request you to send your application log files to help diagnose this a bit further?

If you are running on Windows, you can find the log files at: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<Autodesk ID>\logs.

If you are running on Mac OS, the log files can be found at /Users/<Mac user name>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/<Autodesk ID>/logs.

Please send me a zip of the logs folder directly at Saurabh.Akolkar@autodesk.com.

Regards,

Saurabh
