Cannot get Fusion 360 to start

Hi all,

 

Just started to use Fusion 360 as a hobbyist and suddenly yesterday it stopped working.  When I try to open it the splash screen comes up and after a delay of several minutes it comes up with an error "A software problemhas caused Fusion 360 to close unexpectedly" with an error report code of CER_116430546.

 

 

I have uninstalled it, follwed the complete uninstall information I found on the Autodesk site and re-installed but still nothing.This is a shame as I have just got a new CNC mill and really want to use Fusion!

 

My system is Windows 8.1 64 bit, Core i5 8 gb RAM. My internet connection is working with a download speed of 123 mb/s and upload of 12 mb/s.

Have you installed any programs recently?

Fusion did get an update a day or two ago, so perhaps it's causing some problems.

Silly question: Have you tried restarting the computer?

Hi Ian,

 

I see your CER in our backend.  We are seeing a crash on some systems where the graphics subsystem is crashing trying to retrieve driver information.  We are actively working on a fix and hope to release an update in the next few days.  Sincere apologies for the inconvenience and we'll post back as soon as we have an update ready to release.

Thanks for the reply, This does seem to fall in line with some further experimentation, in that it works OK on my Surface Pro.

 

I shall await the resolution.
