Hello, I am not being able to fillet an edge of a body obtained by extruding a spline based sketch. Please find attached screenshot.

thank you!

impossible to tell from the screen shot.  might be the end conditions of your  spline, what does the curvature comb look like?

attach your model. (export a .f3d from the file menu and attach here)

the end of your spline got pushed to a nearing infinite curvature by the neighboring control point.  you can see this when you put a curvature comb on it (see pic).  here is a screen cast of fixing it.

That was the problem indeed! Thank you so much, that fixed the design!

I've been having a similar issue but I couldn't find anything problematic with the curvature combs on my curves (or at least not that I know of).

Any combination I try won't give me the requested result.

Please share the model. Export as .f3d and attach to next post.

Your sketches leave to be desired!

Spline ends don't join and required tangency constraints are missing in some places.

The second sketch you used for the extrusion would be entirely unnecessary if the 1st sketch would be properly executed.

Then you did not pay attention when selection the sketch profile.

If yu change the two projected arcs into construction geometry to exclude them from profile creation, then the resulting solid edge can be filleted to ,6mm

Hi Trippy,

Thank you for your honest feedback.

You are right - my sketches are far from perfect. I'm trying to learn and improve on the go.  That's why I'm writing here.

My v1 sketch was just playing around and figuring out the design concept, and once I realized how I wanted it to look I realized it's too much of a mess and I started a clean page with v2. I should have not included v1 in the file I uploaded.

How can I "change the two projected arcs into construction geometry to exclude them from profile creation"? I'm not sure of how to do it.

Also is there something else I could do to be able to fillet it more than 6mm? My design goal is 10mm..
