Can You Update Title Block Properties Across all Sheets in a Drawing such as Material Finish or Revision without Fusion360 Manage Extension?

Hi,

I have a lot of projects that have more than 20 sheets per drawing and I am now trying to control these drawings using revision numbers. The custom title block I use has a 'custom' attribute for Material Finish and Revision Number (see attached).

When editing drawings I will add in the material finish and revision for the part and then I will make several more sheets of drawings in the same drawing file. The title block properties carry across from the first page if I create the page after I have inserted my properties which is very useful. However when I want to edit the material finish or change the revision number on the first page that change does not carry through all the other sheets and their properties remain unchanged. Is there a way to update all title block properties in a drawing rather than manually go through all 20 or so pages by hand and change the properties? I cannot get the Fusion360 manage extension.

Thanks in advance !

- Shane

Changing the title blocks is not done by copy&paste but via Browser > Sheet Settings > Titleblock. To do this, you have to create a new worksheet with a new template by right clicking > Add Sheet. Then this template appears in the list of the browser and can also be transferred to other sheets.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi @18236944

The best way to do this would be to edit the title block and to then use static text.

I created this silent video a few months back, it shows the workflow.

Hope it helps!

Is it possible to edit a title block and save this, and later use for my personal use license?

Kind regards,

Barry

Hi @b.meijerFUL5P

Unfortunately, custom title blocks are not supported on the free version of Fusion 360.

Hi @ClintBrown3D

Thanks for your reply.

At work we have a paid license of Fusion. Is it maybe possible to edit and save it there and then use it in my personal license?

Is there any other way to get some more of my own design into the titleblock?

Hi @b.meijerFUL5P

Unfortunately not. The free/hobbyist licence does not support custom title blocks and templates.

Hi,

Create a DWG titleblock and save it.
This one can inserted also with personal license into an existing drawing.

That look's way better!

Is there a way to make this interactive with attributes? Or is this a bit too much to ask 🙂

Hi,

Attributes can be inserted in external applications (Acad, Q Cad...) and used in Fusion.

Hello All,

I am happy to announce that the Revision Management (Revision table, Revision markers and Revision clouds) is now released in the latest update of Fusion 360 https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/blog/march-2022-product-update-whats-new/

I believe that this new feature will help managing the revisions better across the sheets. Please feel free to use it and let us know if you have any queries or concerns.
