Can you retrieve settings from previous renderings?

Is it possible to retrieve the Appearance and Scene Settings from a previous rendering?

Does that exist as meta data in the file somewhere?

I'm trying to match a rendering I did awhile ago, and having trouble getting it just right.

I don't think you can save multiple settings anywhere.

How do users manage different rendering settings? Pencil and paper?

If anyone has any answers/ideas, I'd appreciate it.

In the data panel click on the version badge of the item you want to see old rendering settings.

This will allow you to see all old versions. You can open the old version and then switch to the rendering workspace. 

There you can see the old settings.

You should be able to determine what version a rendering was made from by the rendering thumbnail details.

If you edit things remember to say to save on close or you will save a new version.
