I made a component and made a number or copies of it using the Copy/Paste operation. Much later I realized that I really want to have each of those copies to be independent copies, as if I had done a Paste New instead of a Paste.
Is there any way to simply select one of those components and turn it into an independent Component, as if it had originally been made via a Copy/Paste NEW?
In fact, many of these copies were created using the Pattern tool, which apparently ONLY creates the Paste type copies (i.e. those inherently linked to the original). I'm thinking that, at the very least (if I had thought far enough ahead while initially building this thing) if the Pattern tool had the option of creating linked copies (as it currently does) OR of creating independent copies (like the Copy/Paste New operation) I could have easily created them as independent Components right at the beginning.
Nevertheless, I'm now in a situation where I HAVE a bunch of simple Paste type copies and would really like to know if there's a way to directly convert them to the Past NEW types, i.e. to "break" the link between it and the original component.
