Hi Greg - are you still having this issue?  We've had intermittent outages that may be impacting this.

Things have changed - the design eventually became available for viewing as expected. Yesterday I also experienced a range of problems directly with Fusion 360 probably linked to ‘outages’.

These included loss of two hours work when Fusion 360 just stopped responding and had failed to save a recovery. This was proceeded early in the day by several hours of incredibly slow on line use. This lack of performance, where I had at time to wait for every action to complete, seemed to directly relate to the almost continuous auto save and recovery save modes. Later I changed the recovery interval in preferences to 15 from 5min which at the time seemed to improve things a little. Much later when A360 was working again and fusion 360 also started to work as it had done before yesterday I seemed to no longer get the on screen notice in the header bar that the system is in auto save or recovery save modes. Can you confirm this is OK and that hopefully the on screen notice only displays when the connection is slow? Also how can you prove that a recovery save has occurred whilst working in Fusion 360 - are they in the file menu?
Finally when opening A360 in safari I’ve had a message asking me to verify my e-mail but when I ask to resend the verification e-mail it fails to do so. This happened every time I opened it and I’m concerned you still need this verification. During my A360 problems I tried signing in to it on my MacBook for the first time to prove it wasn’t hardware related - this was fine and I got the verification notice that doesn’t work again however a360 would not format on the screen correctly to the extent it is unusable. This is safari version 6.2.8 - so is this a version / age problem (not my age I hope!) or is there something I can do about it?

HI @greg.hart,

Are you still seeing these save issues (with relation to time?). I do note that if you have a poor internet connection, it may take a while to save your model (denoted by the spinning circle in the data panel on the thumbnail of the model), but it shouldn't lock your software up. We can test this by going into offline mode and trying to save there. Does the performance increase then? There were saving issues earlier in the week, but we pushed out an update that resolved those performance issues.

Regarding the Auto-Save notice - off of the top of my head I am unsure why the message would appear sometimes and not others. If it is turned on - we can check to see by doing a quick test. Set the interval and then make a few changes to the model and let it sit. After the alloted save interval time, go into the data panel and check the version number. Did it create a new version? Also, try to take note of when it says it saved (it should display a time).

You can access your recovery files in the File menu. There should be an option that says Recovery files. Also, when Fusion stopped responding, did you force quit or let it sit for a while? Depending on the operation you were performing (and if it was related to the saving issue - this should be cleared up now with the update we had), it was just taking a very long time to save large models. Hopefully that issue has been cleared up since!

Thanks,
