Can't use "Text glyphs" in pattern in sketch

I was wondering why it's not possible to use a single "Glyph(text)" for pattern...

In order to simplify some pattern Design I use a custom font.

It's far much esier and lighter for Fusion to handle some complex drawing of a logo as a single Font glyph, than multiple geometric entites with dimensions and constraints...

But for any reason, when creating a pattern you can't select a text, only geometric entities (so you need to "explode" that text).

You can pattern the path for text, then add the text.

Hi,

Ok thanks for this workaround.

it may help a bit, when you have done the pattern if you need to edit it, and adjust distances...

but it is not really user friendly.

Many Thanks.

You can also pattern components, so put your text in a component and pattern that.

yes, could be a valuable workaround, but you have to be very well organized...

staying inside a single sketch should be far much easier... and flexible...
