Can't stich faces

I'm having trouble stiching the faces of this octahedron together. They should be perfectly aligned but I'm only getting free edges in the stiching menu regardless of the tolerance I set.

This is a bit counter intuitive.

The reason is that these surface bodies are in different components. You need to copy/paste the bodies from these components into a new component and then you can stitch them.

As opposed to solid bodies, which can be combined even when in different components, surface bodies cannot.
