Beadlock inner and outer rings

I’m new to the design scene and need some help building a set of inner and outer 32 bolt bealock rings for a 15in wheel. The inner ring is just a round ring 2.5”-3” wide. How can I make the bolt holes evenly spaced out thru out the ring. Next, if I make a design for the outer ring, how do I copy the design and evenly specs it around the inside of the ring? I attached a couple pictures I’ve found online so they are not mine.

This is a design question, not a CAM question. I'll flag the moderator and have the thread moved.

That said; You want to make your first sketch and use a Circular Pattern for the spacing.

For the transfer of the hole locations to the other component, use Sketch > Project and it will maintain alignment and sizing to the original set of holes.

Thank you so much. That’s perfect for the inside ring! How do I go about taking a design and adding it to the innermost outside ring. Like the file with the sculls. I figured I could draw something then drag it to the outside ring then then trim the lines so the plasma cutter wouldn’t cut the design off.

Make a sketch right on the surface of the ring. Draw your cutout. Extrude/Cut it out of the ring. Circular Pattern that Feature/cutout around the axis of the ring.

I did it with eight smaller skulls.

R.U.L.E. #1 and #2

TL/DR: #1; Components. Use em, love em.  #2; Name your stuff.

Bodies and sketches become a mess without components. Body1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc become unbelievably cumbersome without proper naming and organization.

Thanks for the help with this project guys. I made this one last night and I can say I’m feeling more and more confident using this program. That being said, do any of u know if they have released a way to curve text on a 2D plane? I had someone ask me yesterday if I could put their last name on the outside ring. I looked thru the forums and tried multiple searches on here and Google but all so found was people using a different program and importing it to fusion. I played around with it last night for a couple hours but with no luck. Thanks in advance.

At this time, pretty much your only option is going to be to design the text in another program such as CorelDraw and import it as an .svg file.

Silly that in this day and age a software would exist that can't handle simple text commands. I mean, it took us almost two years to get single line fonts......

If you are a student you can download Autodesk Inventor Professional for free from http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity and use the Geometry Text.

Also, rather than using your camera to take a shot of your screen - you can use the built-in Windows Snipping Tool.

Simply go to the Windows glyph in lower left corner of your screen and start typing Snipp….

...and finally, 

you can have the pros here comment and guide your modeling techniques by going to File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here.  (Use the forum web browser, not reply by email.)  (I don't see a Feature Pattern in your screenshot.  It is usually advisable to do a Feature Pattern rather than a Sketch Pattern.  (Try changing the number of holes in your part.))

Thanks for the info, I’ll try snipping the screen instead of taking a picture of it. What is the difference in a sketch pattern and a feature pattern? Sorry for all the questions, but I am new to this stuff.

With Feature Pattern you do one hole and then pattern the feature. 

Much easier to change the number of holes later if you decide to make changes.

Also a sketch pattern creates a lot of sketch constraints that Fusion then needs to calculate - slowing down the file.

I downloaded the inventor program and was able to use the geometry text. Thanks for that info. My next question is when I extrude the outer beadlock plate, why is the text not showing up. the text is my last name and I would like to have it cut out on the outer rings. when I extrude the ring, I can hover over the ring and the text will highlight. I have looked thru the info and watched several videos but I cant figure it out. thanks in advanced. p.s. thanks for telling me about the snipping tool. so much more clear than a picture of my computer screen.
