Hello everybody,

I'd like to shell out this hand. i didnt model it, but i need it hollow to accommodate some electronics.

Shell doesnt work, i guess the model is too complex.

i'd like it to be around 1.5mm

any advice?

Thanks in advance

Vert neat model indeed!

It does not work in Fusion 360 but in another app I use it shells without a problem.

I checked this out just to see if there was something inherently and totally wrong with the model that would prevent it from being shelled.

To shell this in Fusion 360 as is you'll have to manually offset and trim surfaces in the Patch environment, or maybe individually thicken surfaces and then combine it together into a solid.

Is this something you aregoing to 3D print ?

Yes, i'd like to print this thing on a HP jet fusion.

Its quite big, and the index finger will have to be printed on its own.

There is some internal structure, too.

I intended to draw all the internal stuff, use the shelled out hand model as a cutting tool to cut off all excess material of the inside structure, combine bodies and be done.

so, first step will be a shelled out model.

I'm not at all familiar with the patch workspace, so this might be a good practice...
