Can't select text

I've created 2 sketches. One is a box. The other is text on the top surface of that box. I want to extrude the text up from the box but I am unable to select the text. When I select and extrude, it selects the entire rectangle of the text sketch and extrudes that to another box. I've watched 3 videos of people extruded text and my environment is not behaving like theirs. How do I select this text?

Hi! I am not sure if Tspline Extrude supports text profile. You may extrude the text using the regular Extrude command. Then convert the body to Tspline.

Many thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I didn't know that there were 2 kinds of extrude. If I pull down Create > Extrude, I see that it is indeed a Tspline extrude. So I would like to try using the extrude command. However, when I type in Extrude in the command line, I get "There is no command Extrude. Use ? to get help on available commands"

How do I access this other Extrude?
