Can't select a body to split

Hello,

I am new to your software and 3d modeling in general(limited experience).

I created a tspline object from an STL file using the "pull" feature. I am going to make a two part mold from the object. I would like to split it using the "sulhouette split" feature. However, after choosing a direction from which to split the model, I cannot select the body that I want to split. I created a new sphere beside it, just to see if I could split that and yes I can. There are a few bold splines on my object (creases perhaps?).

I am wondering if that is what is giving me trouble. In certain operations, I cannot select the body to perform a particular function. I am sure that I am missing some small thing, but I am not sure what it is. Can you help?

Thanks

The Split Body and Silhouette Split commands only work on solid bodies.  You will need to convert your TSpline body to a solid, using the Convert command:

convert 1.png

convert 2.png

After that, you should see a solid body in the browser and in the graphics.  That body should be available for use with the split commands

Hello Jeff,

Thanks so much.

I thought I tried that, but maybe I did not. I will try (perhaps again) and let you know.
I hope it works!
I appreciate your prompt response.
