Almost any time I try to sweep a shape along a helix, I get an error. I can do it with a tiny shape... but that's not what I need. 😉
What are the "rules"? Maybe I want to create a self-intersecting shape... (one of the expectations of solid modeling...)
Any help appreciated.

1. please share you model
2. describe in detail what you want to create
One of the rules is obviously that Fusion 360 does not allow you to create a self intersecting shape with a single sweep.
The problem with sweep and a helix is Fusion will twist the profile as it sweeps. The workaround is to use a guide rail, just draw a line along the axis of the helix in your profile sketch, just needs to be longer than the total height of the helix.
