@JDMather - did this happen just now?  Are you still unable to save?  We had a very brief backend issue that potentially could have cause this, but should be working now.

Just tried again and same error.

We are on earlier release (2.0.1981) in lab due to DeepFreeze.

JD - before we do anything further, would you please send me your log files?  brian dot repp at autodesk.com.

After that, can you try going Offline, the try to save the file, then restart Fusion 360, and then return online.

I have to exit the lab for another class - so I killed the job.

I did try on my personal computer just now with 2.0.2455 and no trouble with it.

@brianrepp

This issue persists today.

I am evaluating Fusion for use in my FEA class for next spring.  We will not be able to use in the classroom if we cannot save files.

It is interesting that when I try to save it auto-populates my folder name (Forum) but nothing shows in the data panel.

This image is a composite showing what I see after clicking Save.

@JDMather I'm not sure if this is related to the version that is currently installed or not.

Some other thoughts on this issue.

Do you see adcefwebbrowser.exe running in the background when Fusion 360 is up and running? This process needs to work through your network in order for the data panel to function. I'm wondering if there is a firewall or A/V software interfering with this process.

The network should be configured as outlined in the below link for Fusion 360 to function normally. Do you know if there is anything blocking these domains or ports on your network?

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/a360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Network-C...

Another question is does the Windows User Account (student account) you are using have full permissions to the below directory?

%localappdata%/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/

Is there any redirecting going on with the user's profile?

I hope this helps. I look forward to your reply.

Thanks,

I checked earlier today and it wasn't working.

Then I went into a lab where we had used Fusion on Monday and it worked there.

I then went back to check in the lab where it wasn't working earlier today - and now it is working again.

So we are back in business (for now).
