Can't repress geometry when editing sketch pattern

When I create a pattern in a sketch, there are checkboxes to repress the geometry. But if I go back and edit a pattern that I already created, those checkboxes are not there.  Is this a bug or oversight, or is this expected behavior?

It's a little of the last two...  It's just something that we have not quite gotten around to yet.  Editing a sketch pattern to support suppressed instances is harder than doing it on forward creation.  So, we consciously chose to release sketch pattern without this ability.  It's in the backlog.

How do others feel?  Is this important?  Critical?  Nice to have?

thanks,

I'm not sure if we're talking about about exactly the same thing, but I notice that if I edit a pattern, the checked boxes get re-checked. This is really a pain because I'm trying to create a diagonal hole pattern on a (roughly) rectangular face and the only way I know to do that is to overshoot the edge of the face and then suppress my way back. Having to re-suppress every time I edit is not practical.
