Can't properly create a joint between two sheet metal components

I'm trying to create a rigid joint between two sheet metal components. The joint preview looks correct, but it changes position when I click OK.

[BTW, workaround (in my case) is to move the two components into position with the Align command, then use an As Built Joint instead. That doesn't have the problem shown above.]
