Can't open the design I was working on yesterday.

I’m unable to open a file that I was just working on yesterday. I don’t see it in the data panel when I just look, however if I search it does turn up in the results. When I try to open it I get the following messages:

Fusion 360ScreenSnapz029.pngFusion 360ScreenSnapz030.png

I also tried creating a public link, which worked, and exporting the F3D archive from there. The file exported, but attempting to upload the file into Fusion also failed.

I can view the design in A360, but I trying to open in Fusion through the A360 interface fails as well. In A360  version history I see the last four versions listed as "NaN minutes ago"- the one previous is 6 weeks ago, which seems about right.

This is kind of the mirror image of the problem I was having where I could work with a file, but could not view it in A360 or share it.

Problems in the clouds?

Note:  I tried exporting from A360 to see if I could recover a version, and got this dialog- I have no idea what Cob-v72 is. The name doesn’t match anything I have made.

I also tried creating a public link, which worked, and then exporting the file as an F3D archive, which also worked. But when I tried to upload the file into Fusion the upload failed.

Ron,

Cob-v72 should be "NameOfItem"-v"Version#" naming convention. This is puzzling...since you say that there are only 6 version, so it should have been Cob-v6.

Anyway, did it export?

Can you send me a private message with a shareable link for that item via Fusion or the A360 standalone interface? I will take a look as to why this cannot be opened up.

We did have someintermittent  serverside issues today, which slowed down communication between our mirroring servers between east coast and west coast. But, it should have settled down by now.

What time did you face this issue?

I sent you a link, but I think I'm discovering this is a general problem, I can't open any files, I just get the same message.

I tried another system, a laptop also running OSX 10.10.3, and the file opened with no problem. I'm going to try a system restart now and see if it changes anything. The problem system has had a security update from Apple not yet installed on the laptop.

Ron,

I am facing an Upload issue, so there is surely a backend issue going on. So, perhaps that Apple update may not help you 😞

I have alerted our Operations Team and they should be triaging this asap.

Will send an update soon...

Shrirang,

After restarting the main system with a full shutdown, all seems to be cured. I was able to open the file, and the upload completed. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help figure out what happened, and thanks for Autodesk's amazingly responsive support!

Hi Ron,

Glad to know you sessions are problem free.

My uploads went up too, but the retry mechanism seems to be kicking in. We want it to go 1st shot without any failure retries 🙂
