Can't open file from not saving correctly. Retrieved backup file and could not upload it.

I have a project, and the model is supposed to be version 49 because I clicked to save it, but then fusion ran out of system memory, taking up 44GB(like it always does). I waited an hour, and nothing happened(like always) so I had to force quit fusion. It was not able to correctly save version 49 so I was not able to open it. In order to retrieve the backup files I went to this directory(since im on mac): ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/<GUID>/CrashRecovery.I did this all in the terminal, I was able to find the GUID and locate the backup files. I used cp command to copy the files back into my Downloads folder, changed it to .f3d, and uploaded it to fusion. I waited hours and there was no progress. Why can't I upload it? (the project is only 281MB)

@steven_zhuQDRBU There seems to be multiple issues going on. First to solve the recover files, can you direct go into File- and find the recovered documents option to open them?

Unfortunately the recovery document cannot be opened for some reason. It says auto recovery failed. Could not open recovered file(version 48)

@steven_zhuQDRBU If that is the message then a copy/rename/upload is not going to help. Will you be able to attach the recover file here? It could help us see what is happening. I take it that V47 is the last one that you can open now?

(Also you posted that Fusion uses a lot of memory or the Mac tuns out of memory. Would like to collect more information on this to see what could be happening. Is this on particular design, particular commands etc? Would you be able to invite a couple of our engineering team members into your project having this issue? )

I cannot open previous versions of a design within fusion because when I click the version button for the design is SHOWS NO VERSIONS. The only solution ive found it to upload using the files from the Crash Recovery directory. Using files from the crash recovery directory, I tried to upload 3 different versions and none of them worked. Please tell me if there is a way to do this. I wish I could attach the file that I am trying to recover but it exceeds 71 MB, so I cannot attach it. The problem is only in this particular design. If you want the engineering members in my project I can invite them to my team via email.

I take that back. It doesn't work. I tried opening version 48, 47, 46. None of them worked. The crash recovery file is extremely outdated, and since it is the biggest file I assume that it is the latest version out of all the other crash recovery files. I invited you to the team

@steven_zhuQDRBU Thank you for access to the project. Assuming the design in question is Fusion ***** ME ***** I was able to open all the later versions I went from 48 until like 43 and had no issues opening each of these versions. Are you able to do the same now?

New update: fusion crashed because once again it took up all my application memory. I didn't force quit it but I think my computer crashed, now the project did not save correctly and I am screwed. This is the 2nd time that fusion did not save my project correctly, and the 10th time that I ran out of application memory and my changes were not saved. This needs to be changed

@steven_zhuQDRBU I still have access to your data. What operations that you are running takes up the memory? Can you please also share the specs of your machine specs?

@steven_zhuQDRBU Thank you for sharing the machine specs.

If you logout and close Fusion, launch it again and sign-in and do nothing what is the memory usage of Fusion? Is there a particular design that you open up and work on that you see this spike?
